Sports Authority in Colorado Springs Relocates

August 1st, 2012 by sourced

A new Sports Authority store in Colorado Springs will fill a hole in one local shopping center but will add to the woes of another.

Sports Authority, the national sporting goods retailer based in suburban Denver, will open a 25,000-square-foot store next month at the Broadmoor Towne Center, near Southgate Road and Lake Avenue on the city’s southwest side. The opening of that store will follow the closing of Sports Authority’s location at the Rustic Hills Shopping Center, southeast of Academy and Palmer Park boulevards on the east side. The Rustic Hills store is scheduled to close July 31, customers were being told Thursday.
